The Plywood Club of London was first established back in 1952, with the primary aim of bringing people who work in the UK plywood trade together.
In recent years, the club has evolved and developed into so much more. Trade members from other areas of the UK wood panel industry, such as the MDF, Chipboard and OSB industries, regularly join us at the club to share their experiences too.
The Club serves as a forum for trade companies to showcase new products. It also gives trade members a platform to provide sector-relevant updates on manufacturing, distribution and logistic developments. The club also provides a social environment for trade members across the UK to informally meet, network & build stronger relationships across the sector.
Our season starts in the early Autumn, and runs through the winter months into the Spring. Our yearly AGM completes the season, and is typically followed by a ‘Summer Event’ before we finish for the year. We then reconvene again in the next Autumn.
An Annual Dinner is normally held at the end of January. This provides a great social occasion for members and their guests; but also raises funds for the clubs' nominated charities. These charities change each year - and include national, local & trade-related causes. Previous recipients include Diabetes UK, Little Havens Children Hospice, and the TTBS.
